Today’s Big Picture
Medical schools have a one-party problem: FEC data shows employees at the vast majority of U.S. medical schools funnel nearly all their political donations—87% overall, and often exclusively—to Democrats and left-wing causes, while practicing doctors remain roughly split.
That institutional capture explains the DEI dogma, racial preferences in admissions, and politicized curricula that have infected what should be pure science. New White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia made her debut briefing Tuesday, signaling the Trump team’s continued push to control the narrative against a hostile press corps.
Moody’s economist Mark Zandi pegs the Iran war’s cost at roughly $2,000 per American household so far—mostly from spiked energy prices, military spending, and higher interest rates—highlighting the real economic toll of confronting the mullahs even when the strategic payoff is clear.
A handful of unconventional House candidates are shaking up the midterms, from Trump-backed former NFL kicker Jay Feely taking on his old team doctor in Arizona to a Dallas pastor, a former immigration official, a vaccine-hardliner pediatrician, and a fifth-generation farmer trying to reconnect Democrats with rural voters.
Vice President JD Vance correctly called Big Tech’s sudden hunger for AI regulation a “Trojan horse,” warning that companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are angling for rules that lock in their dominance rather than protect the public.
And the Army is now training soldiers to fight through bioweapon attacks rather than just survive them, acknowledging that genetic engineering and adversary programs in Russia and China make the threat too real to ignore.
These stories expose left-wing monoculture in elite institutions, the costs of necessary strength abroad, outsider energy in Congress, healthy skepticism of corporate power grabs, and the sober reality that the next battlefield may be biological.
