For Charria, a five-time UNCF scholarship recipient, the support from UNCF helped her continue her family’s legacy as a third-generation college student. The Dillard University senior is preparing to go to graduate school and fulfill her goals of becoming a math educator.

But her experience at Dillard has been about so much more than academics. As a treasurer for the Omicron Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., she helps foster community on campus and see her peers thrive. One of her fondest memories on campus was getting to celebrate the senior honors convocation.
