We look forward to meeting with our anti-hunger colleagues and volunteers to discuss the continued need for food aid.
Margarita Martinez (left), a member of Hunger Free NYC's Food Action Board, spoke at a press conference in the Bronx this week to promote the Health Bucks program. City Council Members Ritchie Torres (center) and Vanessa Gibson have allocated additional funds to GrowNYC's Health Bucks program to encourage healthy eating and to make farmers market purchases more accessible for SNAP recipients.
Join us for tomorrow's virtual community meeting ([link removed][UNIQID]) to discuss our latest work in the fight against hunger and to hear from colleagues across the country.
Agenda for Friday, September 18th:
* The end of the Pandemic-EBT Program
* Updates on SNAP waivers and SNAP funding
* Discussion on USDA's school meals waivers and feeding kids this fall
* Information about partnering with Hunger Free America on our voter mobilization campaign
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
