FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub has called out Donald Trump’s lies about Vote by Mail, assuring Americans, “There’s simply no basis for the conspiracy theory that voting by mail causes fraud. None.”
And Americans agree -- a recent Washington Post-University of Maryland poll found that 73% of the country supports allowing every single eligible citizen to vote by mail this election.
But there’s a problem: millions of Americans still require an “excuse” to Vote by Mail (as if a global pandemic weren’t enough of a reason).
We can’t allow their voices to go unheard this election. We must protect our democracy from Trump’s lies -- and protect our ballots from GOP voter suppression. We must call on Congress to pass national Vote by Mail, immediately.
