The IIIC is recognized as a national leader in providing humanitarian immigration services, including representation for these deferred action cases for those in need of medical care. We are serving as the plaintiff in this case as one of the few centers in the country that assists multiple families in need of the program.
"Our clients are very brave and have suffered greatly," said our executive director, Ronnie Millar. "They are already going through the nightmare of battling illnesses, and adding this injustice of being denied access to healthcare is unimaginable. No one, let alone a child, should ever be in this situation."
We serve 33 people and families who have applied or were in the process of applying for deferred medical action, including children seeking treatment for conditions such as cancer, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, and muscular dystrophy.
