Friend,
Thursday night was our first debate in Minnesota’s First District, and I walked off the set in North Mankato feeling really good.
I’ll admit I’m a little biased. But I think folks watching at home saw a clear choice.
On taxes, I told them the truth. If Democrats take the House, one of the first things they’ll do is repeal the tax cuts we passed and raise taxes on southern Minnesota families and farmers.
On health care, Jake Johnson pitched what I would call by its real name: socialized medicine. Obamacare already broke our health care system. Doubling down on it won’t fix anything.
And on the cost of living, I said what I hear at kitchen tables all across the district. We are still living with the hangover from bad Democratic policies.
Here’s the thing, though. A good night on a debate stage doesn’t win an election.
Outside groups have already poured more than $4 million into this race. That’s more than Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race has drawn, and most of it has been spent attacking me.
Nobody spends that kind of money on a race they think is out of reach. National Democrats believe they can buy this seat. They will keep flooding our TV screens and knocking on doors from now until November 3.
I’m not going to let our debate’s momentum go to waste. We need the resources to push back, set the record straight, and make sure every voter hears the truth before they cast a ballot. And folks are already voting.
Will you chip in today to help us push back?
