Friends,

Today is the day that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg receives the 2020 Liberty Medal, as the National Constitution Center applauds RBG’s “efforts to advance liberty and equality for all.”

Justice Ginsburg deserves the high honor, and to be in the good company of fellow recipients Nelson Mandela, Sandra Day O’Connor, and Malala Yousafzai. But the occasion is marred by President Trump’s recent release of the list of SCOTUS nominees he’d like to replace RBG with.

Among the names on Trump’s list are three GOP senators: Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton and Josh Hawley -- and per NPR’s reporting, the federal judges on Trump’s list “are all Trump appointees with records hostile to abortion, voting-rights legislation, LGBTQ rights and regulation of business and the environment.”

Replacing RBG with someone who’ll fight against everything she stood for is no way to honor her. We’re doing everything we can to stop Trump from getting another Supreme Court appointment -- and that starts with sending a message that the American people are with RBG, and want any future justices to align with her values. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now -- tell us:
