Phu Tu Nee was 19 and pregnant with her first child when monsoon season arrived.

She is one of more than 300,000 Rohingya who have remained in Myanmar living under severe restrictions. A mobile clinic from UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, normally visited her village once a week. But when a tropical storm hit, Phu Tu Nee could no longer reach a health facility.

Fortunately, she already had a UNFPA Emergency Birth Kit , which she used to deliver her baby boy safely.

Will you make sure more pregnant women and girls like Phu Tu Nee have lifesaving supplies in hand before the next storm hits? [[link removed]]

No mother should have to give birth in the dark, on the ground, or without the basic supplies needed to keep herself and her newborn safe.

But during conflict, displacement, and natural disasters, pregnant women and girls can lose access to healthcare in an instant.

A woman who is already in labor cannot wait for the storm to pass. And, too often, the stress of an emergency can trigger early labor. Even during a crisis, babies still come.

That is why your support delivers Emergency Birth Kits to pregnant women and girls in crisis zones around the world.

For just $5, a kit can provide basic supplies including soap, a sterile plastic sheet, a razor blade, an umbilical cord tie, a blanket, and latex gloves —simple items that reduce the risk of infection and give a mother the tools for a safe delivery when normal medical care is beyond reach.

UNFPA works to provide skilled midwives, functioning maternity services, and emergency obstetric care whenever possible. When those services are out of reach, Emergency Birth Kits can mean survival for mothers and their babies.

Your gift today can deliver $5 UNFPA Emergency Birth Kits and lifesaving maternal healthcare to women and girls caught in conflict, displacement, natural disasters, and emergencies everywhere. [[link removed]]

No woman or girl should be left alone as she gives life.
