Today on the International Day of the Girl Child, we’re leading with hope and action. This weekend, we’re partnering with children’s stores around the world to amplify one important message: girls deserve to experience the joy that comes with play, not to be married as children.
Equality Now envisions a world in which girls have equal rights under the law and full enjoyment of their human rights. For more than three decades, we've worked to make that vision a reality. Last year alone, our work improved the lives of 69 million women and girls. Over the next five years, we aim to expand rights, protections, and opportunities for 350 million more.
One thing that makes this work possible is collaboration and a united voice: from corporations to civil society organisations to survivors and advocates and now children’s stores. We all have a role to play in this movement, including passionate and dedicated individuals like you.
