Hey MLB Gang,

Beyond the last divisional series game, we have a lot to catch up on around the league today, with big decisions being made both on and off the field. We’ll start with one Philly executive’s response to the Athletics’ interest, then head to Milwaukee, where the Brewers’ captain has shared his thoughts ahead of the NLCS clash with the Dodgers. From there, we’ll look into a Yankees legend’s take on a recurring clubhouse issue, and what solution he has come up with, while also talking about a Tigers veteran’s decision as his time in Detroit comes to an end. Let’s unpack.

Tarik Skubal’s workout session before his NLCS start.

During the 2025 NLCS sweep, the Los Angeles Dodgers held the Milwaukee Brewers to a team batting average of just .118—the lowest batting average for any team in a postseason series of at least three games in Major League Baseball history. This will be the fourth postseason meeting between the two clubs. The Dodgers have won all three: the 2025 NLCS, the 2020 Wild Card Series and the 2018 NLCS.
