Good morning, friends and climate advocates.
Our inaugural peer-to-peer fundraiser is off to a great start!
By now, most of you know we've organized this fundraiser to commemorate
Zero Emissions Day,
a global event that challenges everyone to minimize or eliminate their use of fossil fuels, giving the planet "one day off" from carbon emissions.
We're grateful to all of you who have already jumped right in and set up your own peer-to-peer fundraising page.
Haven't yet had a chance to get set up? Don't worry - you can still participate, and it's quick and easy. Setting up your fundraising page only takes a few minutes: create a profile, add a personalized message and a donation goal, upload your favorite picture of yourself doing something environmentally-friendly, and then share it on your social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram). Simple!
Here's the
social media tool kit the Fundraising Team assembled to help get you going even faster. It includes sample posts you can use on your own social media pages. Feel free to add your own personalized messages, too. For those already participating, you can also repost a previous appeal or
take advantage of the tool kit to create a new call for donations on your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages.
If you would simply prefer to donate to 350 Chicago,
visit our Donation Page and choose either your one-time donation or monthly donation amount. We welcome any contribution - every dollar counts.
The fundraiser concludes on September 21st (ZE Day), and we hope you'll help us to reach and then beat our $2000 goal.
Keep up the great work!
