Please act NOW to Help RE-ELECT VAL OKIMOTO

Aloha Fellow Republicans,

I write to you today to ask for your support. As many of you may have heard, one of our incumbents, Rep. Val Okimoto, is running in a contested race against a progressive Democrat candidate who has the support of every progressive PAC in Hawai‘i and on the mainland. If elected, Val’s opponent would not only be a detriment to Mililani, but to the entire State of Hawai‘i. Her opponent’s policies are ulta progressive, reactionary, lack substance, and seek to exacerbate the cost of living in Hawai‘i by increasing your taxes to pay for idealistic initiatives instead of helping our economy recover.

During Val’s first term as the Republican Representative for District 36, she has consistently voted for the best interests of her community and conservative voters in Hawai‘i. She has opposed proposals to raise your taxes, proposals that would restrict your 2nd Amendment rights, defended the rights of police officers who protect our communities, and vociferously opposed the release of violent criminals from our jails.

Val’s opponent believes that a bigger government, increased taxes, and more spending will solve our affordable housing crisis and reduce the cost of living. She could not be any more wrong. Growing up on these islands, Val has seen firsthand how burgeoning taxes and cumbersome government mandates have dramatically increased the cost of living, and forced our family members, friends and neighbors to seek new affordable opportunities on the mainland.

Excessive government mandates are not the answer to our current woes. Val will continue to collaborate with community and business leaders to develop reasonable solutions without raising taxes or passing complex laws. She will continue to advocate for legislation that allows YOU to make your own decisions, which give YOU the tools to be independent instead of being dependent on government. Together, Hawaii can be a better place to live and thrive as we recover from this pandemic, and not a place to run away from.

With your help and support, Val will continue to hold all elected officials and political appointees accountable. She will remain transparent about her decisions and voting, and will continue to serve in the state House with integrity to support YOU and our state.

Please consider helping Val to put a stop to this progressive onslaught on our freedoms by visiting
valokimoto.com ([link removed][UNIQID]) and clicking on the “DONATE NOW” link ([link removed][UNIQID]) located at the top right hand corner of your screen. Your special donation will help counter outside influence from progressive PACs which seek to change our islands to imitate progressive policies that continue to fail on the mainland.

Republican candidates like Val are counting on your support to maintain and increase our numbers in the state Legislature. Mahalo for your support for our party and for our candidates.

With aloha,

Shirlene

Chairman, Hawai‘i Republican Party
