Dear John,

If you're new to us, I'm the deputy director of Oregon Right to Life. I've worked here since 2014. Last week, I was supposed to be coming back from a much-needed week off. Then Oregon caught fire.

My family of six was evacuated for most of the week. Our home is finally down in a level 1 zone (from level 3) and safe. I know so many can't say the same.

Thankfully, Lois has built a crackerjack team at ORTL. They came together and took care of my assignments for the week seamlessly.

The team's workload was already full to the brim getting ready for our annual auction [[link removed]] (to be held virtually for the first time, thanks to the pandemic). To be held September 28-October 3, our auction provides the bulk of the support that makes our educational outreach possible.

As my team filled the gap for me, I hope you can fill the gap for Oregon next year by participating in our auction. We reach hundreds of thousands of Oregonians with pro-life education in a normal year.
