Terrible news: the gun lobby has filed ANOTHER lawsuit to try to block Initiative 1639.

Last month, the gun lobby suffered a resounding defeat when a federal judge rejected its challenge to the lifesaving gun safety measure. The judge’s ruling confirmed what we knew to be true all along: I-1639 is constitutional. Period.

But our extreme opponents just won’t quit. They have filed a new lawsuit in another desperate attempt to undermine the will of voters and block these commonsense restrictions on semi-automatic assault rifles.

The gun lobby has already tried, not once, not twice, but three times before to use the courts to stop this measure and they have failed every time. But this new lawsuit shows how determined they are to stop any and every responsible gun law from passing. They are hoping that we can’t afford to keep defending the law against their baseless attacks. We have to prove them wrong.
