Inspiring discussions with the change-makers and thought leaders whose ideas and actions move our mission forward.

2020 Sanctuary Speaker Series

Our modern industrialized food system is at the core of some of the most pressing issues of our time: Animal cruelty on an unimaginable scale. Environmental destruction. Human rights violations. Community devastation. Public health crises. To make substantive change, we need to work fast and pursue bold solutions-together.

Today, we're launching our Sanctuary Speaker Series: inspiring discussions with the change-makers and thought leaders whose ideas and actions move our mission forward.

Through one-on-one discussions with advocates, academics, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, and more, we'll highlight the diverse strategies that fuel our shared goal of a more just and compassionate world.

Our inaugural Sanctuary Speaker Series event explores Antiracist Vegan Praxis--integrating anti-racism into vegan philosophy and practice--featuring an interview with Dr. A. Breeze Harper by Farm Sanctuary's Manager of Social Justice Programs Miko Brown.

In this conversation, Dr. Harper shares her depth of experience working with groups to assess and implement antiracist practices at the organizational level and, more broadly, offers insight into dismantling racism in the food system-an interrelated web of oppression. This is a great watch for vegan advocates interested in finding out more about how their activism intersects with other social justice movements.
