SEPTEMBER 2026
|
Dear Friend,
Last week, Milwaukee-area officials voted to dump Veolia, the world's largest private water corporation, from operating the regional wastewater system.
The decision came amid a series of whistleblower complaints. These complaints included allegations that Veolia has falsified records, dangerously mismanaged the system, and "run the equipment to fail."
Veolia will lose out on the nation's largest wastewater contract, worth more than $600 million. And, perhaps more importantly, it can no longer use its business in Milwaukee as a marketing platform to secure contracts with other cities and towns.
Last week's decision wasn't a total victory, though. Local officials decided to award the contract to Jacobs, another major private water corporation with its own track record of abuse. But the fact that Veolia, the industry leader, is on the ropes is a huge sign of the tide turning against this abusive industry and toward a public future.
Let's keep the momentum going and push Veolia to completely end its reckless water privatization business. Add your name and email Veolia North America's CEO now!

| Joining the next No Kings rally |
Families across this country are struggling to afford groceries, gas, and the everyday cost of getting by, while corporations and the politicians they've bought and paid for are trying to undermine elections and silence our voices. On October 17, we're fighting back. No Kings: Vote Early is a nationwide day of action, block parties, rallies, walks to the polls, and everything in between, all working toward one goal: making sure every eligible voter has a plan, knows their options, and is ready to make their voice count. We're joining a massive coalition to support this effort, and if the past No Kings events are any indication, it's going to be huge.
