Fellow Conservative,

I really shouldn’t have to do this.

It is stunning that some in the media don’t believe that I have faced nasty words and insults from Democrats about being a Black Republican.

After sharing my family’s story of cotton to Congress in one lifetime, the haters on social media and the far Left came for me.

They called me horrible names on social media, and I would be lying if I didn’t say that those words hurt.

Sadly, instead of the mainstream media condemning the hate—they doubted it was really happening.

Fellow Conservative, I hope the mainstream media is paying attention.

As a proud Black conservative, I have come to expect this type of treatment from the mainstream media. But we should never allow this type of casual racism against Black Republicans go unanswered.

I do not send you these to simply complain—I hope you agree we can do better.

I wake up every single day working to ensure that future generations have the same opportunities that I did to succeed.

Every time I see a nasty insult from the Left, I am comforted knowing that there are patriots like you, Fellow Conservative, who have my back.

The insults are only going to intensify over the next few weeks, and now is not the time to give up. We have to keep fighting for the conservative values we hold dear.
