Dear John,

Is there a man in your life who deserves to be recognized?

Maybe it’s a husband or brother who quietly puts his family first. A colleague who leads with integrity. A friend who can always be counted on. Or a man in your community who consistently serves others without expecting recognition in return.

This October, NeW is once again celebrating those men through our 2026 Gentlemen Showcase ([link removed]) .

Since 2010, the Gentlemen Showcase has recognized young men who exemplify service, respect, kindness, and strong character. At a time when there is no shortage of conversation about what men are doing wrong, we believe it is equally important to recognize the men who are getting it right and to hold them up as examples for the next generation.

Know someone who fits the bill? Nominate him!
* Gentleman of the Year: $1,000 scholarship

* Honorable Mention: $500 scholarship

* Their nominators: $250 scholarship each

If the winner (or his nominator) is not a student, the prize winnings can be donated to a charity of their choice.

This year’s Gentlemen Showcase is also sponsored by Knives of Alaska ([link removed]) , an American-made company known for crafting outdoor gear. Winners will receive additional prizes from Knives of Alaska, including a Bobcat Combo for the Gentleman of the Year.

Nominations are open October 4–17. Take a few minutes to tell us about a good man in your life and the character he demonstrates when no one is watching. Nominate him here. ([link removed])

Good men make a difference in our families, workplaces, and communities. Let’s recognize them.

Thank you for being part of the NeW community.

All the best,

Vice President of Programs
