John,

After Republicans received more votes than Democrats in our top-two primary, Sabato's Crystal Ball shifted our race from "Likely Democrat" to "Lean Democrat" indicating this is going to be a highly competitive race. Now the Seattle Times just said this about Kim:

"the Aug. 4 primary signaled she's no shoo-in and Republicans are crowing about a potential upset."

Our opponent and national Republicans are emboldened by our primary results, and they're doubling down on their efforts to defeat Kim. They've even just moved our opponent to a higher ranking in their "Young Guns" program, saying our district appears "favorable to the GOP candidate."

National Republicans know Kim's seat is key to retaking the House majority, and they're ready to do -- and spend -- whatever it takes to win. We need to be prepared to fight back.

Rush a donation of $5 or more before our mid-month deadline to help us take on the national Republicans and protect our Democratic House majority.

We knew this was going to be a close race from the start. Kim is the first Democrat to ever represent Washington's 8th Congressional district. Our primary results serve as a reminder that WA-08 is just as much of a purple district today as it was in 2018.

If we're going to keep Kim in Congress fighting for the issues that matter most to us, then we need grassroots supporters to step up and help us hit our mid-month goal.

Will you show Kim you have her back? Chip in to help us hit our mid-month fundraising goal.
