This November, more than 40 Moms Demand Action volunteers are running for Congress in what could be the most consequential midterms in history for gun safety. Our road to victory in the midterms will be paved by the Moms Demand Action volunteers running in critical races up and down the ballot like these:

Michigan: Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet, a former Moms Demand Action chapter leader running for reelection, has already worked to pass laws to disarm domestic abusers and stop the federal concealed carry mandate. Her race is critical to win if we want to push back against Trump's guns everywhere agenda, putting our lives at risk.

Arizona: JoAnna Mendoza: a veteran, mom, and gun sense champion. As a retired Marine and Iraq and Afghanistan combat veteran, JoAnna will protect responsible gun ownership and make our communities safer at the same time. She's running to flip one of the most competitive districts in the country — and in Congress, she'll fight to stop the flow of illegal guns into our communities, keep weapons of war off of our streets, and stand up to the gun lobby.

Pennsylvania: Paige Cognetti is a solutions-oriented candidate who has launched Scranton's first community violence intervention program. Her victory will help put a check on an administration that has spent the last year gutting ATF, rearming domestic abusers and violent criminals, and shredding federal gun safety laws — all while the MAGA majority in Congress did nothing to stop them.

Iowa: Candidate Sarah Trone Garriott is a state senator and former Moms Demand Action volunteer, who's running to flip a House of Representatives seat this November. Her race is critical to the gun violence prevention movement.

These are just a sample of the communities where gun safety is at risk. It's not just local — it's everywhere.
