Yesterday, I voted NO on another King County tax increase.
The Council approved a new sales tax without sending it to voters, without a clear spending plan in place, and on the very same day we appointed a new Inspector General to root out corruption in programs similar to the one this tax is meant to fund.
That’s not good enough for me. Support my campaign here if it’s not good enough for you either!
Families across King County are struggling to afford housing, groceries, gas—and you guessed it—taxes! Government should not reach deeper into their pockets before proving it can responsibly manage the money it already has.

And after recent findings of potential waste, fraud, and abuse involving programs funded by the Department of Community and Human Services, stronger financial accountability must come first.
