The presidential candidates could learn a thing or two about electability from the NewDems who flipped 32 seats last year.
Friend, we have a message for the Democratic presidential candidates.
One thing we've seen consistently: primary voters want to know that their candidate has what it takes to win the White House.
NewDems know a thing or two about electability. Our Members flipped 32 of the 40 seats Dems won last year. That includes wins in places Texas, Michigan, and Pennsylvania -- all places where our presidential nominee needs to compete to win in 2020.
As someone who flipped a seat last year, I can tell you there's a lot to learn from voters like the ones in Pennsylvania's 6th district. The things they care most about are the things that affect them every day. Things like affordable healthcare, the cost of prescription drugs, the economic opportunities around them today and the opportunities that will be there for their children tomorrow.
