John, tonight is our mid-month fundraising deadline. And in just two weeks, our campaign has to file our quarterly fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission.

The FEC fundraising report will be read by political pundits, media, and the public to determine the staying power of our progressive movement. So, it is incredibly important that we file strong numbers — and to do that, we need to hit our critical mid-month goal by tonight.

Hitting our fundraising goal is critically important, John. But the truth is, I'm concerned that we won't.

I'm concerned because we haven't hit our fundraising goals for the past two months of the campaign. Because of that, we've been playing a lot of catch-up with our fundraising this September. And the bad news? We're already at the halfway point of the month.

But the good news is just that, too: we have half of the month left to go. There's still time to reach our goal and file strong numbers with the FEC — and we are already off to the best first half of the month of the campaign since June.
