| | NPH State Legislative Updates |
| |
|
| NPH needs your help showing support for several bills aimed at addressing housing and homelessness in California. As California faces imminent increases in homelessness because of COVID-19, local budget shortfalls, and wildfires, we must be innovative in using existing State resources. We are currently calling on Governor Newsom to sign AB 1845 (L. Rivas), which incorporates the Governor’s Council of Regional Homeless Advisors’ recommendations. Show your support for homelessness solutions by contacting the Governor! |
| | In addition to AB 1845, NPH is proud to support AB 434 (Daly) to streamline various funding programs under the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) into a single application and award process which will make it easier and faster for affordable housing to get funding. You can show your support for this bill as well by sending your support letters to the Legislative Unit at the Governor's Office. |
| | We encourage members to join NPH for our Legislative Issues Committee Meeting (via conference call) on Thursday, October 1 where we will start setting NPH policy priorities for next year and strategize opportunities ahead to continue making progress for affordable housing in California. Click here to register. In addition to our Legislative Issue meeting, you can also join our Regulatory Working Group to monitor continued regulatory changes at CDLAC for future bond allocations. |
