Friend,
I'll keep this brief -- I know everyone is busy, including our staff at the NDRC, who are working as hard as they can to protect our democracy. (If you'd like to support them, please make a donation.)
We always knew that 2020 would be a crucial year for our work. But I never imagined that on top of trying to win elections in gerrymandered districts, we'd also be fighting unrelenting attacks on the right to vote during a pandemic, including attacks on the United States Postal Service.
I never thought I'd see such a revered American institution attacked -- an institution that Americans depend on daily to run their small businesses and receive vital prescriptions. And yet, here we are.
This isn't the year any of us thought it would be, but if anything, our mission is more critical than ever before. Democracy is under threat like never before and we have to fight back on all fronts. That's why the NDRC and our affiliates are now working to take on gerrymandering and voter suppression and the attacks on the Postal Service.
But our more varied work means we need more funding. I'm relying on you, friend -- and so is our entire team. Please, if you have the capacity, can you make a donation?
Thank you for everything,
Eric H. Holder, Jr.
