I said these words as I humbly accepted our party's nomination for vice president, and I'll say them again because it bears repeating: This election is not about me or Joe Biden. It’s about the people of our country. You are the patriots who remind us that to love our country is to fight for the ideals of our country.

We have an opportunity to restore decency, honesty, and hope to our country if we can come together and win this election. But Joe Biden and I -- not to mention Democrats running down-ballot nationwide -- urgently need your help as voters across the country head to the polls to cast their ballots. We cannot do this alone, so I must ask today:
