The latest update from POLITICO’s Election Forecast says the race for the Senate is as tight as ever. This means that Democrats have a real chance to take control of Congress -- but new polling shows that key Senate races are leaning in favor of Republican candidates with just two months to go.
We can’t risk another four years with a government that actively works against us. Mitch McConnell and the Republican-controlled Senate have blocked almost 400 bills -- including the federal relief for working families and the Violence Against Women Act -- from even being brought to a vote. Instead, the GOP has prioritized voting on over 70 Trump nominations, including his appointments of two far-right Supreme Court justices.
Even if Joe Biden and Kamala Harris win in November, they can’t address Mitch McConnell’s graveyard of crucial laws without a Democrat-controlled Senate. We only need to flip THREE seats in November to make that happen.
We finally have the chance to elect leadership that will work for us, but the GOP is investing millions into key Senate races. With less than two short months until the election and many critical campaigns too close to call, we need to know where YOU stand:
