Hi John.
I hope you and your family are well.
Today, I’m sharing a quick update with resources to help you save your hard-earned money. Feel free to share this with anyone you know!
I know people are frustrated with both parties in Washington. There’s far too much finger-pointing instead of actually finding common ground. Meanwhile, people are struggling with higher prices on groceries, gas, healthcare, and much more.
I’m focused on concrete and bipartisan solutions to lower your costs. That includes working with both parties to help Kansas farmers grow and deliver food more efficiently so we can bring down grocery prices.
But people need help right now. That’s why I’m having my office share resources as a community service. You can find more help at davids.house.gov/lowercosts.

✅ Recover lost funds. Did you know you can reclaim lost property through the state treasurer’s office for free? Mistakes happen, and records can go out of date. Everything from old paychecks to insurance proceeds can get lost. Many Kansans have unclaimed funds they don’t even know about! Click here to search for yours.
✅ Save on gas and groceries. At fueleconomy.gov, you can find cheaper local gas stations in your area. Additionally, nutrition.gov has resources to help you save on your groceries.
✅ Save on healthcare. Did you know lower-cost dental services may be available at Johnson County Community College? Cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and more are only $10. Separately, if you ever get a surprise medical bill, you may qualify for relief under the bipartisan No Surprises Act that I helped pass. And make sure to get your free or low-cost flu shot this season to stay healthy.
✅ Save on your taxes. I know many Kansans are concerned about their property taxes. Thankfully, some relief is available for seniors, veterans, and other hardworking Kansans. Additionally, some taxpayers can recover unclaimed tax refunds from prior years. Others may qualify for free help with preparing their taxes.
✅ Save on your utility bill. Sometimes small fixes, like adding weatherstripping to a window, can make a big difference on your utility bill. You don’t need specialized equipment to find wasted energy. Click here to see the Department of Energy’s step-by-step guide to make your home more energy efficient. Additionally, some families may also qualify for emergency aid to help pay their bills. The Kansas Cold Weather Rule may also help some families during the winter months.
My job is to serve you – regardless of party.
Whether we agree on everything or not is beside the point. Everyone deserves a government that works for them – not special interests, big corporations, or the extremes of either party.
It’s an honor to serve you. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
My warmest regards,
Sharice L. Davids Member of Congress
