** Hi John,
------------------------------------------------------------
Last week, I had the privilege of bringing together an incredible group of women and allies for our 2nd annual Mujeres al Poder luncheon in Chicago.
We celebrated women who are organizing, leading, protecting our communities, and building power every single day. We honored community heroes whose work may not always make headlines, but whose impact is felt everywhere around them.
And we also discussed what comes next.

This year, I was joined by Democratic nominees for Congress: Darializa Ávila Chevalier, Melat Kiros, and Claire Valdez, three powerful, progressive women who are stepping up to lead in their own communities.
This event is proof that our progressive movement is growing and strengthening both here in our district, and across the nation.
When my community first encouraged me to run for office, I knew this work could never just be about me. It had to be about us: about opening doors, building power together, and making sure more people who understand our communities have the opportunity to lead.
That is what Mujeres al Poder is about.
Yes, I’m going to keep fighting every day for working families, immigrants, and our communities. But I’m also going to keep uplifting the organizers, advocates, community leaders, and future elected officials doing that work alongside me.
Because none of us builds a movement alone. ([link removed]) And looking around that room last Monday, I was reminded just how much we are building together.
In Solidarity,
Delia
