What's with liberals and our children?
Every election cycle, Democrats tell us they're moderates. They talk about
faith, decency, and "bringing people together." Then you look at the record,
and you find the same thing again and again: when it comes to protecting kids,
they look the other way.
You've likely heard about James Talarico, the liberal candidate for U.S.
Senate in Texas. He's a former seminarian who quotes Scripture on the campaign
trail, but despite his attempts to wrap himself in Christianity,he voted
against a bill to protect our children from sex-change surgeries, puberty
blockers, and cross-sex hormones. So much for believing that we're all made in
the image of God.
Talarico even refused to oppose a bill banning sexual performances in front of
minors, saying he didn't want any legislation to target the performers. He's
more concerned about protecting drag queens than children in Texas.
Now consider Adam Hamilton, the liberal candidate for U.S. Senate in Kansas.
He's the founding pastorof one of the largest churches in America, and he wants
Kansans to see him as a shepherd.
But in November 2005, teenage boys at his church's sleep-away retreat reported
that a man came into their cabin at night and touched them in their sleeping
bags. A Kansas appeals court later found that camp leaders "were dismissive of
their claims." The church ran its own internal review instead of calling the
police.The next fall, the church sent the man back to the camp as a counselor.
The man was later convicted of sexual battery. Boys from Hamilton's church
camp had to relive what happened to them on the witness stand.Hamilton now says
he "absolutely" should have handled it differently.

Jesus warned us: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's
clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their
fruits" (Matthew 7:15–16).
Both of these men wrap their politics in the language of faith. But we're told
to judge by fruits, not words. And the fruit here is votes against protecting
children and a church that failed the boys who came forward.
Scripture is just as clear about how seriously God takes harm to children: "It
were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast
into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones" (Luke 17:2).
There is a real spiritual battle over our children's innocence. It's being
fought in classrooms, libraries, and doctors' offices. And it will be decided
in the U.S. Senate.
If Talarico and Hamilton win, Democrats are one step closer to a Senate
majority, which will block every effort to protect kids from radical gender
ideology. These fake pastors will have succeeded in perverting our faith and
using it to bring harm against our children.
The election is now just days away. The Left is using ActBlue to pump money
into these races because they know these seats are in play.
