Urge your representative to vote YES on the MORE Act.
Friend –
Did you know that in the United States, a Black person is 3.6x more likely to get arrested for marijuana possession than a white person, despite similar usage rates?
Legalization is still necessary, but it's also not enough to end these racially-targeted arrests or repair the harm that War on Drugs policies have been inflicting on people of color for decades.
What our country needs is equitable reform – and right now, there's something we can do.
Next week, the House will bring the MORE Act to the floor for a vote, a vital piece of legislation lifting the federal prohibition on marijuana and allowing every state to make it legal. You can help make sure it passes by sending a message to your representative now and urging them to vote YES. <[link removed]>

ACLU Supporter, this is the most comprehensive marijuana reform bill in Congress. Not only would it remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, but it would also expunge marijuana convictions and re-sentence people with marijuana convictions.
It is long overdue to not just legalize marijuana, but do so in a way that tackles racial disparities head-on. The MORE Act will do exactly that.
We don't have much time before the vote. So please, join the growing calls of your fellow ACLU supporters and tell your representative to pass the MORE Act now. <[link removed]>
Thanks for taking action,
