Brandt —
A few weeks ago, I spoke with a supporter named George during a virtual town hall meeting. Like many North Carolinians, George expressed concerns about the political corruption taking place in Washington, and asked for my thoughts on bringing much-needed reform to Capitol Hill.
I’ve long seen political corruption as a major obstacle, preventing us from making progress on the most pressing issues facing our state today — from health care and education to voting rights. That corruption puts corporations at an advantage as folks across our state struggle to be heard.
I’m running for Senate because I’m frustrated by the influence of corporate special interests I see in Washington today. I know you are, too. The system is broken — and we need to do something about it. That’s why I’m asking you:
Will you make a contribution of $10 or more before our critical mid-month fundraising deadline at midnight? Our campaign is refusing to take a single contribution from corporate PACs that fuel the corruption in our government. Anything you can give will go a long way.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
As I told George: I earned a Bronze Star and General Douglas MacArthur Award for taking on corrupt government contractors in the Army. It’s in that same determined spirit that I’ll take on corruption in Washington, because I know that North Carolinians deserve better.
But before I can be a changemaker in Washington, I need to win this election. And I’m counting on your help in these final weeks to get our campaign across that finish line.
Thank you,
Cal
