NHCDP Needs Vote Protectors For 2020 Election

Needed: Vote Protectors who will observe inside polling places both during Early Voting and on Election Day. Because we are in the midst of a pandemic, this job is not for everyone, and if you are at high risk for COVID-19 you should not apply. Volunteers will be expected to wear masks of course.

Here's what you need to know. We can appoint you to go inside a polling place to observe for specific four hour shifts or as a roving observer with access to all polling places. We can appoint up to ten any time/any place observers, and we need to reserve those slots for volunteers who will be generally available during the early voting period. If you feel safer just briefly visiting a voting site rather than staying for extended periods, we can work with that. Click here to volunteer.

The other organizations recruiting observers like Coordinated Campaign, Democracy NC and Common Cause cannot appoint you to be an inside observer. Signing up as an NHCDP poll observer enables you to be in the room to ensure the integrity of the 2020 election.

NHCDP will identify appropriate training and will assign you to observe at the precincts most important to success by Democrats.

Best,

Richard Poole, Chair
