so critical. Don't let them stuff the country.
How our country’s economy recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic will
be front and centre in everyone's minds.
Parties on the left are making spending promises that the country
can’t afford while parties on the fragmented right have no plan at

decision-making, and enacted effective policies in government that
benefit ALL New Zealanders.

New Zealand First Commits To Fully Fund St John
We have consistently backed our St John ambulance service in
government.
In an announcement in Levin, we have committed to fully fund
this ambulance service to the level that they have requested and
need.
We've helped secure funding for St John earlier this term but they
seek a commitment from government to meet the 90 per cent funding
level they require.
Our St John ambulance professionals do a stellar job serving New
Zealanders every day and we are prepared to Back their Future.

We pledge to support the 'Gumboot Friday' mental health programme
with a $10 million support over three years.
Gumboot Friday provides young New Zealanders suffering from mental
health and addition problems access to the help they need.
Last year, funds raised by this initiative supported nearly 4,000
young Kiwis and provided funding for over 13,000 counselling
sessions.
It is a proven, robust, fit for purpose online platform that is
already being used to provide services.
The platform will reduce pressure on publicly funded counselling
services provided by the Ministry of Health and over worked GPs.
