Indivisibles,

As Indivisibles, you probably know that we’re in the final stretch of
election season -- you’ve requested your mail-in ballot, made calls to
voters with Indivisible, and are closely following the polls. But many of
you are still wondering how you can feel confident on Election Day (or,
due to mail delays, election week) that you did everything possible to
ensure Trump is a one-term president. We’ve got a powerful tactic up our
sleeves -- and it’s called relational organizing.

If you’re already engaging your friends and family via relational
organizing and want to act now, [ [link removed] ]invite them to phonebank with
Indivisible by clicking here. Then, jump down to the rest of the ways you
can involve your crew. If you’re new to relational organizing, keep
reading for a helpful explainer.

What is relational organizing and why is it important?

One of the biggest impacts we can have on the election is driving folks to
care about and plan ahead to cast their vote. Through relational
organizing -- that is, harnessing the power of your personal relationships
-- you can make sure the folks in your lives who are probably less likely
to participate get out the vote.

When you reach out to friends, family, and the people in your life to talk
about the election, you’re often relying on your own personal stories
about why this election matters. You can share what’s at stake for you --
whether that’s fighting climate change so your children have a healthy,
sustainable world to live in, or demanding that immigrant and refugee
families have the right to live safely in this country, or creating an
anti-racist future for generations of Black and brown folks. No matter
what your reasons are for replacing Trump and his enablers in the
Republican Party (there are so! many! reasons!), these conversations are
critical for engaging those we care about and helping them find ways to
get involved.

These conversations are impactful for the simple fact that there’s trust
built between you and the people you care about. Your sister or friend is
more likely to respond to a text from you than from a random volunteer
encouraging them to vote (please do respond to the volunteers, they’re
working hard!).

How can you implement these tactics?

You’re probably already doing many of these things -- but we suggest
making a plan or a list of people you’re going to contact ahead of
November. Whether on the phone or Zoom or via text -- talking with the
people in your lives and motivating them to take action is key to our
success. It’s important that we get our friends and family to register to
vote and then vote early and by mail. Motivate them to vote by talking
about why you’re voting, why they should vote, and how real change is only
possible if we kick Trump and his enablers out of office this fall.

Here’s are a few other things you can do to kick off your relational
organizing plan:

* Read and share with your friends and family [ [link removed] ]our list of 50 things
you can do in 50 days -- we’re sharing all the ways you can make an
impact before November 3.
* Ask the folks in your life to volunteer with Indivisible! We’re
calling voters in key races across the country to remind them to vote,
and to share how they can safely cast their ballot. [ [link removed] ]Click here to
sign up for the Windivisible phonebanking program!
* [ [link removed] ]Grab your friends and family and join Indivisibles for our
Windivisible GOTV Bootcamp on October 3. GOTV stands for “Get Out the
Vote,” which is our main focus over the next 50 days. Wondering how
we’ll drive voter turnout if we can’t go door-to-door? This half-day
training will help you get involved in the most critical period before
Election Day!
* Recruit your crew to join our next Week of Action from September 28 to
October 4. [ [link removed] ]They can find their local groups on our group map in
preparation for our big push!
* We’re working hard to train folks on these tactics and providing the
tools necessary to get you and your ones involved. If you’re able,
[ [link removed] ]donate to fund all this work (and share with your friends and
family!).

We’re so close to Election Day -- only 49 days away! But we’ve still got a
lot of work ahead of us to make a huge impact. With our Windivisible plan
in action and our push to plug in our friends and family, we’re aiming for
a Democratic trifecta -- keeping the House, taking back the Senate, and
winning the White House. Let’s get to work!

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
