John —
Last week, I participated in a debate with my opponent Jerry
Sheridan on KTAR's Think Tank program. The debate laid bare the
choices in front of us over the next 49 days — we can continue to
move forward or return to the abuses of the past under the
Sheridan-Arpaio administration.
During the debate, I had the opportunity to ask my opponent
a question. Here’s what I asked Jerry Sheridan:
“My opponent was sustained on lying as well as dereliction
of duty. The federal court orders also state that Arpaio and
Sheridan directed the manipulation to avoid accountability for
themselves, their proteges, and those who have implemented their
flawed policies at the cost of fairness. My question is how could
the head of any law enforcement organization hold accountable or
discipline employees for actions and behaviors that are in
conflict with policies that would be terminable offenses, when
that person themselves has already violated those rules and then
in some way, been rewarded for the violations?"
He had no good answer
My opponent has cost us too much already and has no place
serving as the top law enforcement official for our community.
Will you chip in to my reelection campaign to make sure we defeat
Jerry Sheridan in November?
