John,
This is wrong --
Millions of Americans rely on the Postal Service to deliver prescription drugs to their homes -- a service that has become even more critical in the midst of a global pandemic.
But changes made by President Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy have led to days-long delays in prescription drug deliveries, posing serious health risks and increased costs for pharmacies and consumers.
That’s why House Democrats took action to pass the Delivering for America Act, which would prohibit the USPS from changing any operational or service related functions, reverse any implemented changes resulting in delays, and provide $25 billion in funding to ensure the USPS has the resources it needs.
President Trump’s politically-motivated attacks on the USPS are an immediate danger to the health of our communities -- but Senate Republicans won’t act without a major show of public pressure. I’m mobilizing 3,000 signers to call on the Senate to pass the Delivering for America Act immediately >>
American lives are on the line -- we won’t let this administration turn the USPS into a political bargaining chip.
We must speak out,
Elaine Luria
