Folks, I'm about to tell you the hard truth about all the election polls you're hearing about.

Now, take a look at these two polls -- and think about how you felt on November 9, 2016.

I'm not trying to scare you, I'm pointing this out to stress how important it is for us to stay focused on putting in the work every day to win this thing.

The thing is, there are no guarantees in this race. Polls go up and down, and we can't let them distract us from our goals.

Because polls never tell the full story, which is why I really push people to ignore the polls as much as possible.

The only poll that matters is the one on Election Day. Our team is working our hearts out every day to do the real, critical work. We will never throw up our hands and say we are far enough ahead. That doesn't exist.

Because we know two things for certain: The candidate who reaches 270 votes in the Electoral College is the person who gets to be president, and winning those votes is going to be expensive.

That said, I've got to ask you directly: Will you make your first contribution to fund our campaign to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris today? We still need to bring in 1,575 more donations from Pennsylvania by midnight, and we can't afford to miss our mark.

If we let the polls sidetrack us from putting in the work we need to do to reach and turn out battleground state voters for Joe and Kamala, we won't have a prayer when it comes to Election Day. I'm serious.

So, if you're thinking, "we're up by 7 points, I can take a break from all of this now," you're sorely mistaken. You can quote me on that.

The only way we're going to win this election and defeat Donald Trump is by hitting every goal we set for ourselves -- that goes for dollars raised, phone calls made, and ballots cast.

And if we don't hit our mid-month fundraising goal by bringing in 1,575 more donations from Pennsylvania by midnight, we'll have to make some tough decisions on our budget for the final month of this race.

So, I'm counting on you to dig deep right now and pitch in whatever you can afford to help us meet this goal. If you're able, will you chip in $25 now?
