Ady Barkan lost his ability to speak due to ALS. Now, he uses assistive technology to be heard. You may have seen him at the DNC, where he spoke to Joe Biden through a computerized voice.

Rep. Steve Scalise, the House Republican Whip, took advantage of Ady’s disability to replace his voice with similar computerized speech, manipulating and misrepresenting the question Ady asked Biden in order to spread disinformation.

Scalise’s manipulation of Ady’s inability to speak, spreading a doctored video for political gain, is disgusting. He should resign today.

Ady has been a key ally during some of the Trump era’s biggest fights―Trumpcare, Medicare for All, the tax scam, and Kavanaugh. The organization he founded, Be A Hero, inspires all of us to work a little harder for justice every day.

Any politician who manipulates a video to discredit a political opponent has no place in public service. Ady Barkan has selflessly dedicated his life to making America a more just place, while Scalise seeks to protect the criminal in the White House and his enablers.

Steve Scalise has no place in Congress. Tell him to resign TODAY!
