THEN: A new NPR/Marist poll showed us taking the lead, with Gina ahead at 49% to Abbott’s 46%.
NOW: Scared by our momentum, Abbott launched a massive $12 million negative ad spend, buying up TV airwaves across the state to smear Gina and drown out our message.
Republicans are terrified. And they're going to pour even more millions into this state to drown out our message and protect Greg Abbott.
