| Folks,
I was halfway through a cold cup of coffee last night, staring at our numbers and trying to figure out how to tell my team we came up short.
Then my finance director called me and said four words I didn't expect to hear: "They extended the deadline." We've got until midnight tonight. That's it. No second extension, no do-over after this one.
So here's my ask, and I'll keep it simple.
I'm not asking for a big check. I'm asking for a small sacrifice.
Five dollars won't change the world. But five dollars from 100 people changes this movement. That's the whole secret to a grassroots campaign. Nobody carries the load alone.
Can you chip in $5 or $10 before midnight? AOC doesn't ask her donors to sacrifice anything. They write checks bigger than most folks' mortgage payments and forget about it by lunch. Her whole strategy is to spend so much money that people like you decide it's not worth showing up.
I've got a different strategy. It's called you.
My team tells me we're still 100 donors short, and the clock is still ticking.
When the numbers come in tomorrow, I'll be going through the donor list myself. I'd sure like to see your name on it.
God Bless, John Kennedy
