In our nation's time of crisis, I'm extraordinarily grateful that
so many of you have stepped up to be a part of Team Leyva's support
for local families and seniors in need.
This past Saturday, we provided food to over 300 families in
partnership with UFCW Local 1428, SEIU 121RN, Community Action
Partnership, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, Isaiah’s Rock, the CA Rice
Commission & the Huerta Del Valle Community Garden. CA
Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond even came to join
us in food distribution!
And thanks to earlier support from many of you, our team has
also:
- Fed 100 of seniors in isolation we adopted at local complexes
- Provided 10,000 masks and other personal protective equipment to
doctors, nurses and essential workers
- Provided over 1,000 of diapers to families in need
- Assisted local food pantries with badly needed food and money
resources
- Assisted over 200 constituents with EDD issues and resources in
the district
During these challenging times, I'm grateful to be surrounded by
people like you who share compassion in action for our community. I
can't thank you enough.

p.s. I'm excited to share with you that I'm a proud
grandmother once again as our family welcomed our first grandson a few
days ago!
