** Dear Sister District Volunteers,
Join us for our social kick-off event this Thursday, September 17th, at 5:30pm ([link removed][UNIQID]) to get pumped for our Constitution Weekend of Action and our election countdown strategy! With only 50 Days to go, we can all use a boost and a quick refresh on the nitty gritty of upcoming activities.

So, for this Thursday, bring:
* your own version of a “Constitution Cocktail ([link removed][UNIQID]) ” (or any “Democracy Drink-of-choice”);
* your nerdiest Constitution trivia knowledge;
* A friend who wants to get more involved with election efforts but doesn’t know how; and
* Any questions you have about the inner workings of our Sister District Chapter.
We’ll catch you up on all that we’ve accomplished over the past four years as a chapter, how we’ve transitioned our volunteer work during the pandemic, and the different ways you can get involved with our committees or upcoming activities to do your part for democracy – in the way that works best for you!
(Did you know this Chapter founded the famous “Gerrymander-a-Cookie” fundraiser feature? You, too, can be part of this magic.)
We’re laser focused on weekly events and efforts to support Deb Ciamacca ([link removed][UNIQID]) and Jonathan Kassa ([link removed][UNIQID]) flip their seats in PA state legislature. GOTV efforts for state races are shown to complement efforts for the Presidential election by increasing turnout of voters who will vote the entire ballot blue, which doesn’t always work the other way around! So, even if you’re stressed about the BIG election this November, your efforts with Sister District are a solid way to make a contribution. We have phone banks on Wednesdays and Saturdays (we especially hope you'll join us this weekend for our Constitution Day Weekend of Action--you can sign up here ([link removed][UNIQID]) !)
We're continuing our "Meet the Team" series, to introduce you to members of our Steering Committee. Up today is Michael Chorost, the wonderful founder of our chapter!
