Throughout the month of September, our Young Center Community celebrated the Waymakers Virtual Mileage Challenge. Participants walked [[link removed]] , rode, [[link removed]] danced [[link removed]] , and wagged [[link removed]] to honor the journeys of children who come to the United States on their own in search of dignity and safety.

With the support from our Waymakers, we were able to raise over $101,572.00 and walk 20,280 miles across 33 states. Each of the 406 participants that formed 62 teams, as well as our sponsors, staff, and volunteers made this event a success.

Every step made an incredible difference in uplifting children’s stories and in celebrating joy, community, and resilience during these challenging times.

The journey doesn't end in September. You can be a Waymaker throughout the year by becoming a Champion for Children by making a sustaining gift.
