As we heard last week from Public Defender Mano Raju, if Prop D passes, the Office of the Inspector General and oversight will have real investigative power. That doesn't exist now.

Prop D will create much needed oversight and transparency in the San Francisco Sheriff's Department through an independent Oversight Board that can receive, review and investigate any instances of misconduct and abuse.
