I hate to share bad news, but I have to be honest right now:
Yesterday we missed our mid-month fundraising goal — which means I may have to make some pretty significant changes to our budget as we enter the last few weeks of this very close campaign.
With Mike Pence in Montana yesterday and all the spending outside corporate special interest groups are doing to attack Steve Bullock, this is the worst possible time to fall short on our goals. Especially with some Montanans starting to vote in just 17 days.
Mounting a successful campaign requires massive investments in TV ads, voter contact and education, staff, new technology, and so much more — now everything we planned for the final weeks is at risk.
So folks, I spoke to Governor Bullock a few moments ago and we agreed to delay any changes to our budget for a few days to see if we can make up our fundraising shortfall by the end of the day.
This is one of our final deadlines before early voting begins, which is why it's so important. On behalf of our entire team, I'm asking you to contribute whatever today to help us win this election:

Thanks so much for being part of our team. I know with your help we can get back on track to win this race.
