Trump’s reckless and unconstitutional war in Iran has driven up our total energy costs to over $100 BILLION.
Farms across Connecticut are being hit especially hard by rising diesel prices, squeezing the farmers who bring food to our tables and are essential to our economy.
This war of choice has driven up inflation, driven down the stock market, raised interest rates, and has forced millions of Americans to pay the price.
With us being in our sixth month of this war, it is time this administration comes forward with answers and comes to talk to the American people. That’s why I signed a letter to Chairman Mike Rogers of the Armed Services Committee demanding a full public hearing on Trump's unilateral war in Iran, and voted SIX TIMES to end this war.

Above all, the most arduous and heartwrenching cost of this war has been borne by the 18 American soldiers who lost their lives. Hundreds of service members have been injured, and hundreds of innocent civilians, victims of the regime Trump has promised to liberate, have been killed. Right now, 5,000 marines and 1,000 paratroopers are being put on hold to possibly go into Iran.
That’s why the American people deserve no more behind the door classified briefings. No more secret information. It is time for Congress and the American people to hear directly from the administration on the real reason why we went into this conflict, and see a concrete plan moving forward.
