I hate to beg. I really, truly do.
I’d rather be under a truck changing an alternator, talking to local business owners about high diesel prices, or actually doing the job you elected me to do in Congress. Sitting here begging for campaign cash makes my skin crawl.
So why am I doing it anyway? Because this race is too important to give up without a fight.
Tonight at midnight is our final official FEC quarterly deadline before Election Day. In a few hours, our campaign budget becomes public record.

My opponent, John Braun, doesn't have to feel uncomfortable asking for money. He has corporate Super PACs and party leaders lining up to finance his campaign. They’re ready to flood our airwaves with slick lies about my record because they know control of the entire House could come down to our district.
Nobody is cutting $10 million checks for an independent-minded shop owner who refuses to toe the party line. The only way an ordinary working person stays in Congress is if regular folks have their back.
