The COVID-19 crisis has created immense hardship for millions of Americans: many are sick, many are grieving, and so many have lost their jobs.

And yet our Republican Senate opponents aren't fighting for Americans on COVID-19 -- in fact, four of them have lied to their constituents about the virus and its handling.

Sen. Susan Collins (ME) praised President Trump's response to the virus:

"There are times when I think [Trump's] message has been spot on and he has really deferred to the public health officials who have been with him at these press conferences."

Against the advice of medical experts, Rep. Roger Marshall encouraged COVID-19 patients to take an unproven drug:

"I would encourage any person over the age of 65 or with an underlying medical condition to talk to their own physician about taking hydroxychloroquine and I'm relieved President Trump is taking it."

Sen. Joni Ernst (IA) blamed Democrats for the Senate's failure to take action:

"The pushback that we got from the Democrats when the president did try to shut down travel... it was an extremely difficult environment to operate."

And Sen. John Cornyn (TX) made racist and false comments about the source of the virus:

"[Chinese] people eat bats and snakes and dogs and things like that. These viruses are transmitted from the animal to the people, and that's why China has been the source of a lot of these viruses."

None of these Republican lawmakers are capable of addressing the COVID-19 crisis head-on and none of them are willing to fight for American families.
