Donald Trump’s postmaster, Louis DeJoy, has disrupted mail delivery all across the country.
Please read my previous note — copied below in case you missed it — about the latest development in our lawsuit to stop DeJoy.
And, if you can, please donate today.
Thank you for anything you can chip in.

Please take a minute to read through this update.
Here’s what’s going on:
Public Citizen and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund filed a lawsuit in federal court last month, on behalf of the NAACP, to stop Louis DeJoy — the Republican mega-donor Donald Trump installed to run (or ruin) the United States Postal Service — from disrupting the operations of the Post Office.
But DeJoy has pushed through service changes that have upended mail delivery all across the country, so we are now asking the court to step in and order DeJoy to suspend his new policy and restore service to what it was before his arbitrary and illegal changes.
A little more background:
- In May, Trump put DeJoy in charge of the Postal Service (even though DeJoy has substantial investments in private delivery companies).
- DeJoy has implemented drastic service cuts and other changes — which we believe violate federal law — that caused widespread disruptions in mail delivery.
- Following a nationwide public outcry, DeJoy said that he would suspend some of the service cuts. But he refused to undo some of the changes that continue to cause delays.
DeJoy must be ordered to immediately suspend his disruptive instructions and restore service so that Americans can fully rely on the Post Office.
